Not by Power, Nor by Might

100k campaign. Raising of 5000 warriors. Sounds daunting I must admit....
_
Which is why the central theme from this year's Youthnet 288 Re-Encounter meant so much to me:
_
`Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.
(Zech 4:6b)
_
How else can we ever hope of pulling this off? By our best human effort and strength?

_
I am even more thankful for the Word from God that was revealed to me during my solitary time in the re-encounter:
_
This is what the LORD says--
he who made you, who formed you in the womb,
and who will help you:
Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant,
Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants.
They will spring up like grass in a meadow,
like poplar trees by flowing streams.
One will say, `I belong to the LORD';
another will call himself by the name of Jacob;
still another will write on his hand, `The LORD's,'
and will take the name Israel.

(Isa 44:2-5)
_
The concerns i my heart as I approach the 100k campaign are these:
_
(1) Fear of rejection by people whose hearts are hardened.
(2) Doubt if our prayers for these people's needs will be answered
(3) Will my own spiritual children want to be part of this campaign for God?
_
The promises of God from Isaiah answers them all:
_
(1) He who forms me in the womb has chosen me and will help me. So don't fear.
(2) He has promised to pour out His blessings on the dry land
(3) He will pour out His Spirit and blessings on my children, who shall willingly take on the Name of the Lord.
_
Amen. Let all these come to pass. Not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God.
